How it works
From vision to reality: your path to a team in India
Setting up an offshore team can feel complex, especially for a small or mid-sized business. Our job is to make it simple, efficient and scalable. Here is how a Pod comes together.

- Step 1
Initial consultation
Understanding your needs
We start with a comprehensive conversation about your business goals, challenges and specific requirements, so the Pod is shaped around your strategy rather than a template.
Key activities
- Discuss your business model and growth plans
- Identify where a Pod adds the most value
- Initial assessment of roles, seniority and location
- Step 2
Strategy and Pod design
Crafting a custom plan
Our team develops a Pod strategy: structure, scope, hours, tooling and an implementation roadmap with timelines and milestones.
Key activities
- Define scope and objectives
- Select the Pod type: Tech, Marketing, Support or Innovation
- Agree compensation bands, hours and workspace
- Step 3
Talent acquisition
Assembling your team
We recruit top-tier professionals against your rubric. You interview and approve every hire. We handle offers, background checks and contracts as your Employer of Record.
Key activities
- Sourcing and AI-assisted screening
- Your interviews, your decision
- Offers, checks and compliant onboarding
- Step 4
Setup and integration
Bringing the Pod to life
Devices, accounts, workspace and access are ready before day one. The Pod plugs into your tools, rituals and reporting lines.
Key activities
- Managed devices and secure access
- Workspace: remote, hybrid or dedicated office
- Onboarding into your tools and processes
- Step 5
Ongoing support and optimization
Ensuring long-term success
A Growth Pods HR manager supports the team continuously: reviews, retention, benefits, compliance reporting and process improvements.
Key activities
- Regular performance reviews
- Monthly compliance report and single invoice
- Retention and career development
- Step 6
Scale and grow
Expanding your horizons
Adding people to an existing Pod is an operational task, not a project. When you are ready to own an entity, we transition the team to you.
Key activities
- Add roles in weeks
- Expand across Pod types
- Entity transition planning when it makes sense
Typical timeline
Week 1
Kickoff and role scoping
Weeks 2 to 4
Shortlists, interviews and offers
Weeks 4 to 8
Notice periods, onboarding, day one
What is a Pod?
A Pod is a dedicated team in India that works exclusively for you, in your tools and on your hours. We recruit the people you approve, employ them compliantly as your Employer of Record, and run HR, payroll compliance, benefits, devices and workspace so you just manage the work.
Do I need to set up an Indian entity?
No. Growth Pods acts as the legal employer in India through our Employer of Record service. You get a compliant, full-time team in weeks instead of the months it takes to incorporate, register and staff a subsidiary. When you are ready to own the entity, we can transition the team to you.
How is this different from outsourcing or a staffing agency?
Outsourcing hands you a deliverable from a vendor's shared bench. A Pod is your team: you pick the people, you set priorities and they build company knowledge over time. There is no vendor markup on hourly work and no rotation of staff.
How fast can I start?
Most first hires are interviewing within 2 weeks and onboarded within 4 to 6 weeks, depending on role seniority and notice periods in India.
Who owns the intellectual property?
You do. Every employee signs IP assignment and confidentiality agreements that name your company, and our contracts pass all work product to you.
Can the Pod work in US or European hours?
Yes. Many of our Support and Marketing Pods run US time zones, and Tech Pods typically overlap at least 4 hours with your day. We agree on hours up front and hire for them.
What about data security and compliance?
We provision managed devices, enforce access policies and can dedicate isolated workspace for teams handling sensitive data. Our Employer of Record model covers Indian labor law, statutory benefits and tax compliance.
Ready to unlock the potential of a team in India?
Tell us the roles you need. We will come back within one business day with a plan, a timeline and a cost estimate.
